UPDATE According to Union County Sheriff’s Office Chief Investigator Clark Burton, the case is officially that of a missing person, no body has been located due to difficulties in searching with the rising water of the Ouachita River.
UCSO investigators are looking for Donald Wayne Jones, 58, 5’10, 130 pounds, last seen at a church service in El Dorado Sunday around 8:30 p.m.
UPDATE II (5:20 p.m.): Reports are coming over the scanner of a swimmer near the River Bend Cobe hanging onto a branch as UCSO investigators speed toward the scene. There’s a possibility this is the same man, Donald Wayne Jones, who investigators have been on the lookout for since his car was discovered this morning at the south ramp of the Calion spillway.
