Either people are scrutinizing every little thing the man says, or Mike Huckabee isn’t carefully guarding himself enough these days. On second thought, it’s probably a little bit of both.
Unfortunately for the Huck, by keeping his name relevant in the ever watchful (yes, I’ll admit it) liberal media, he’s also effectively underscoring the seriousness of a possible presidential run in 2012. Or he’s doing the smart thing by keeping us all on the edge of our seat while we read the stories and wait to see if he’ll announce.
The latest in the series of Huckabee misspeaks deals with death panels. Love him or hate him, the man is still more entertaining than Charlie Sheen by a long shot.
Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid weren’t actually created for the purpose of helping to bankrupt the country. They were programs intended to help people, which then had unintended consequences. I’m confident the government can and will do it again.
