An El Dorado man was arrested in Monroe, La., Friday after trying to break into a residence in which a mother and her four children resided.
Gary Kidd, 39, of 1633 E. Short Hillsboro St., was discovered by the victim attempting to unlatch the security chain from the door, The News Star reports. Police said Kidd smelled strongly of alcohol and that his speech was slurred.
Bond was set at $3,700.
