Arkansas’ public education system is moving up in the country, now ranking sixth in the 2011 issue of Quality Counts, a nationally-published magazine that ranks states according to public education policies, environment and performance.
In the past year Arkansas ranked tenth overall, but a first placement in Transitions and Alignments and second in Teaching Profession helped move the state’s ranking up.
