After erecting a blockade to keep the FBI at bay, attempts by the family of Jared Lee Loughner to keep law enforcement from entering the premises were foiled earlier this afternoon.
Loughner, who was arrested Saturday after shooting 18 people (killing six including Federal Judge John Roll, and wounding 12 including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords) during a Congress on your Corner event, is being held for a federal court appearance on Monday. His family, like Loughner, has not cooperated with the FBI and blocked their entrance with a double thick 4-by-4 plywood, according to the Arizona Republic.
A breaking news report by the KPHO in Phoenix stated that nearly an hour later, the FBI gained access to the Loughner home.
It’s still unclear as to why the family blockaded the home, further details are pending.
