Time to fall back

Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour before you go to bed Saturday night in time for the end of another cycle of Daylight Savings Time which will begin Nov. 7 at 2 a.m.

I’ve been told that DST wasn’t created solely to confuse us, so it seems like “gaining” an hour is a good idea in the long run though eventually we do lose it again (constantly fighting an uphill battle I suppose).

However, for someone from Arizona (who still can’t completely thaw out from the slightly above 30 degrees temperatures this morning), the idea is completely foreign to me — Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa do not participate in DST, maybe because they have an abundance of sunlight to spare.
