The Arkansas Department of Agriculture is holding a workshop from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the El Dorado City Hall to provide information about the United States Department of Agriculture’s new disaster assistance program to benefit Union County poultry farmers still reeling from the closure of Pilgrim’s Pride last year.
Depending on each individual’s circumstances, growers could be eligible for up to $100,000 in assistance funds under the Loss Poultry Contract Grant Assistance Program.
