It is respectable that Hash has volunteered to work for free. He has made it known he is going to donate his salary to the police department for drug enforcement work.
Is Yancey old enough to know how to administer El Dorado? Young blood brings innovation and fresh ideas, but is the mayor sit the best place to give Yancey a go? Perhaps in ten more years he’ll be ready, but even if he shows promise, the city needs wisdom which only comes with age and experience.
Yancey Kyle may be young and not have that much experience and I’m not saying he’s the right choice for mayor, but at least he hasn’t displayed the poor taste that Frank Hash did in showing up at his opponent’s campaign announcement and having a fire truck with his signs plastered on it in close proximity. Whatever regard I had for Frank was diminished when I saw this. If you look, you can actually see Frank in the photo that was in the paper.
Hold the phone, El Doradians. There’s a new horse in this race. I just got word that Luther Lewis has put his name in the hat. Not only does he have age and experience, but he has a proven track record of success with business. I’m not sayin’ he’s the answer yet, but I know he is worth a very lenghty and thoughtful consideration. This may be a game-changer.
