In a tough economy, these folks have no clue

While many families are shopping for off brand goods just to make ends meet at home, college kids are dining like world leaders:

• Lobster
• Handmade brick oven pizzas
• Chef-prepared deserts
• Spinach lasagna

These are just a few of the high-end foods offered by some schools, according to an article in the New York Times.

Sheesh, since when did college become gourmet? I was lucky to get a ham sandwich and bag of chips, and I liked it. Why would anyone need to eat lobster at college?

LOL Wouldn’t it be nice if we all could eat like that on a daily basis? They are eating like that because their Mommy and Daddy are still footing the bill and they are the ones in major debt because of it, not the students!! When will parents start making their children grow up and take some responsibility in life?? No, it isn’t all “young people” as so many old folk like to claim. I am 23, my husband is 24, we have a 3 year old son and we have been very happily married for 4 years!! We have gone through the “don’t have money” phase where you just make do. Thankfully we aren’t there anymore but we sure aren’t eating food like that every day!!! Our parents encouraged us to grow up and become adults. After all, thats what you’re supposed to do, right?? Perhaps if the rest of the world of young idiots would join us, things would look a smidge different? Just my opinion. :)
