Baseball size hail hits Texarkana
The storms that rolled through the state Monday night skirted past El Dorado; Texarkana wasn’t as lucky. The general manager of our sister paper, the Texarkana Gazette, said that it was the “worst hail storm” he has ever seen in the Texarkana area.
Carriers and other employees had windshields busted out of their cars, along with severe damage to the roofs and hoods of the vehicles. Roof damage was also widespread among businesses and homes alike. As you can imagine, car dealerships were also hit very hard.
The above photo shows a large hole in a tar-covered roof after a massive hail stone tore through it.
