Russian bombers spotted near Alaska today

We haven’t seen any Russian planes this close to the U.S. since the Cold War ended in the 1990s. It’s a scary prospect indeed. What’s next? Probably another arms race, then, ultimately, Cold War II. That’ll be good for the economy, at least for the folks in Camden who build missiles.

**UPDATE** A studious reader pointed out that this probably is not the first time in recent months that Russian planes have buzzed near our airspace. It is, however, the first time it’s been this widely publicized.

I can’t believe that you make comments like this. They’ve been doing this for several months. I suppose you think that we don’t do the same to them with our bomber aircraft.
