The folks in Norway are preparing for doomsday. In a large ice cave there, millions of seeds are stored in case a nuclear war or large-scale natural disaster wipes out all the crops and other seeds on Earth. There are other seed storage vaults around the world. But, as the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have shown, they are easily destroyed by bombs.
