La. police officer fired amid brutality allegations

An officer for the Shreveport, La., Police Department was fired Tuesday after an alleged police brutality incident involving Angela Garbarino of Shreveport.
According to a Shreveport television station, Garbarino and the arresting officer were video taped inside an interrogation room in a heated exchange before the tape was turned off. When the tape resumed, Garbarino, handcuffed, is seen lying in a pool of blood on the floor.
Garbarino says she was beaten by the officer; the officer said she simply fell.
Garbarino can be heard saying: “I can’t believe you just did what you just did,” according to the television station.
